Whitton Waves Pre-season Training Update

We were delighted to see so many of the club members and welcome new members to our preseason training camp.

The camp took place at LEH over 2 days at the end of August and was a real opportunity to launch our new club look, feel and club ambitions.

It was wonderful to see girls from years 5 to 13 working together and supporting each other through the drills and matches. One of the younger participants attending the club for the first time said she loved the sessions and can’t wait to join the club whilst some of the older girls really enjoyed coaching and advising the younger girls. We were impressed by how hard all the girls worked, who were put through their paces by coach Sarah Hanon in defence, shooting and attacking drills. As well, as a very fun endurance circuit that tested their agility, speed and balance.

Despite being a hot day all worked hard and many received awards at the end of each day.

The coaching team are very much looking forward to sessions and fixtures this season as we step up to the Surrey league across all age groups.
